Standalone hosting is mainly useful when you already have a simple website: for example HTML, CSS and JavaScript files, a small information website or a page that does not need a database, online shop or user accounts.
The goal is simple: publish your website reliably, with a secure connection and without paying for an unnecessarily heavy hosting setup. For many freelancers, bloggers, hobby projects and startups, that is enough to be professionally reachable online.
